Welcome to the Caravelle of Vassivière

Dear customers,

We are delighted to welcome you to La Caravelle. More than just a hotel, it's an experience. We welcome you like family, like friends, to a haven of peace in the heart of the Limousin region. Located right on the water's edge on the shores of Lake Vassivière, our establishment is situated within the Millevaches Regional Natural Park, a must-see destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Our village of Peyrat-le-Château, a designated Green Resort, is distinguished by its exceptional natural and historical heritage: lush forests, rolling hills, tranquil ponds, and landscapes that change with the seasons. Whether you're here for a romantic getaway, a family holiday, or an active break, every moment spent with us will be a source of serenity and discovery.

This booklet contains all the information you need to guide you throughout your stay.

Our hotel is not currently accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Why choose La Caravelle?

You are in the heart of the Limousin region, in Haute-Vienne, a few steps from the Creuse and a few kilometers from the Corrèze.

Comfort : 10 rooms in the main building with a balcony overlooking Lake Vassivière and 6 ground-floor rooms in the second building, all equipped with a wooden terrace and independent access to a natural lawn by the lake.

Private parking : Free and partially shaded, ideal for cars, motorcycles and bicycles.

Restaurant : Open every day except Sunday evening (from October to April) and Monday lunchtimes. Our chef Marie offers menus and à la carte options that change with the seasons, showcasing fresh, local produce.

Varied buffet breakfast : Served every morning from 8am to 10am to start the day off right.

Proximity : Just steps from Auphelle beach and the boat launch, close enough to enjoy major tourist activities (boating, hiking trails and more).

Your stay, our priority

Reception

• Opening hours: 7 days a week: Monday from 4:30pm to 8pm, Tuesday to Sunday from 8am to 12pm and 4:30pm to 9pm.
• Assistance for any request, postage, and local tourist information.

Breakfast

• Served in the dining room from 8am to 10am, buffet style with hot and cold drinks, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, fruits and more.
• Booking recommended the day before.
• Breakfast is available in case of early departure: please inquire at reception.

Restaurant

• Open 7 days a week from 12pm to 1:30pm and from 7pm to 8:30pm. (Closed Monday lunchtime) (Sunday evening in the off-season)
• Capacity: 35 seats inside and 40 on the terrace.

Parking

• Free, partially shaded, with space for bicycles and mountain bikes.

Your room has been prepared with the utmost care. If we have overlooked anything, please do not hesitate to let us know.

• Strictly non-smoking rooms, available from 5pm until 11am on the day of departure.

• Extra pillows and linen available on request.

Commitment to sustainable development

Our establishment is committed to sustainable tourism. Our team is trained in the economical management of water, energy and waste.

Numerous actions are being implemented to limit the impacts on future generations:

*Replacement of energy-intensive light bulbs with low-energy LED bulbs, where technically feasible.

*Installation of energy-efficient aerators and shower heads.

*Replacement of towels only if left on the floor or in the shower.

*Waste sorting, purchasing from local producers whenever possible, and use of refillable cleaning products.
